ARE THERE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR THE BAM COURSE?
We are able to offer a number of scholarships for the BAM Course each year for those applying for Module 1 or Module 1+2 together.
We usually reserve scholarships for people from developing nations who have a limited means to pay for the course. We may also consider people working for support-based mission agencies who have a limited means to pay for the course. Please enquire with us as to whether you are eligible.
The scholarship will usually be offered in the form of a 30% discount on the total course fee and will be offered only after the application process is completed. Those who have applied for Module 1+2 who receive a scholarship will automatically be assigned to the Thailand Field Trip team.
If limited funds are preventing you from applying for the BAM Course, please contact us and enquire about the likelihood of a scholarship.
We also encourage participants to seek additional sponsorship from their support network, church or mission organisation.
CAN I CHOOSE MY FIELD TRIP LOCATION FOR MODULE 2?
We offer BAM Course Module 2 as a Field Trip that can be taken in conjunction with Module 1, or as a stand-alone option.
For the BAM Course 2019, we are planning three Field Trip teams to: Nepal, Cambodia and Central Thailand.
During the application process we will ask you about your Field Trip location preference and will do our best, within reason, to assign you to your first choice location.
However, the final number and composition of the Field Trip teams will depend on the total number of BAM Course participants. We cannot 100% guarantee in advance that we will send a Field Trip to both Nepal and Cambodia if we do not have the numbers in the course to fill both teams or that everyone will get their first choice of location.
While each Field Trip will have its own unique facets, each offers the same opportunity for new cross-cultural experiences, multiple business visits, business evaluations/debrief and working as a team.
Please note that any BAM Course participant who has received a scholarship to attend will be automatically assigned to the Thailand Field Trip team.
WILL I NEED A VISA FOR THAILAND?
Many nationalities can enter Thailand without having to apply for a visa. They will receive a 30 day ‘Visa Waiver’ stamp for tourists (which also covers attending conferences and training).
Other passport holders will have to apply for a visa from a Thai Embassy or Consulate before they travel or get a visa on arrival.
Please refer to this page to find out which applies to you. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the correct visa. However, we can supply you with further information or a letter of invitation as needed.
Thailand requires that you have at least 6 months of validity on your passport before you travel.
